Cardamom Chai

Ingredients
For 1 Serving:
1 cup water
2 cardamom pods
1 tbsp Indian loose leaf black tea
1 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
½ cup milk
Instructions:
Crush 2 cardamom pods in a mortar and pestle until aromatic.
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
Add the crushed cardamom pods to the boiling water.
Add 1 tbsp of Indian loose leaf tea and 1 tbsp sugar.
Boil and reduce the mixture to half its volume.
Add ½ cup milk and bring to a boil again.
Pour into a cup and serve hot immediately.
Serving Ideas:
Serve immediately for maximum flavor
Pair with biscuits, samosas, or cookies for a classic snack
Optional: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top for extra flavor
