Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
2 pounds fresh cranberries
2 large oranges
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup water
2 cups granulated sugar
Instructions:
Prepare the ingredients:
Rinse the cranberries and discard any soft or damaged berries. Juice the oranges and set the juice aside.Combine in a saucepan:
In a large saucepan, add the cranberries, orange juice, cinnamon stick, water, and sugar.Cook the sauce:
Place the saucepan over low heat. Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens into a rich sauce.Cool and store:
Remove the cinnamon stick and allow the sauce to cool completely.Refrigerate or freeze:
Transfer the cooled sauce to an airtight container.Refrigerate and use within 1 week.
Freeze for later use and thaw before serving.
