Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Recipe by Sejal
Ingredients:
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and chopped
½ cup butter
1 whole rosemary twig
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in a pan until tender.
Drain the water and mash the potatoes finely using a manual masher.
In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the rosemary twig and let it infuse the butter.
Add salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook briefly to enhance the flavors.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle boil.
Add the mashed potatoes to the pan. Mix thoroughly using a potato masher or spatula to achieve a creamy texture.
Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the potatoes are smooth and well combined.
Remove the rosemary twig before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve hot as a side dish with roasted meats, gravy, or vegetables.
Top with shredded cheese, crispy bacon bits, or chopped chives for extra flavor.
Add a pat of butter on top just before serving for richness.
Pair with holiday meals, weeknight dinners, or special occasions.
Can be reheated gently on the stove or in the microwave without losing creaminess.
Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper or paprika for an added kick.
