Punjabi Att Halwa

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ghee

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)

  • 3 cups lukewarm water

  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions:

  • Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.

  • Add the whole wheat flour and roast, stirring continuously, until it becomes nutty, fragrant, and starts to leave the ghee.

  • Gradually add the lukewarm water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

  • Halfway through, add the sugar and continue mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.

  • Serve hot and fresh.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve immediately as a sweet offering or dessert.

  • Can be garnished with chopped nuts or a pinch of cardamom for extra flavor.

  • Traditionally served during religious ceremonies or festivals.
