Stove Top Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 box instant stuffing mix (any brand or type)

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter

  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1½ cups chicken broth (skip additional salt as broth is already salted)

Instructions:

  • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  • Add chopped onion and celery, and cook until softened.

  • Sprinkle in black pepper and cook for another minute.

  • Add chopped fresh parsley and cook briefly.

  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a boil.

  • Turn off the stove and add the instant stuffing mix. Slowly stir until the stuffing becomes fluffy and moist.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Can be baked in the oven if you want a crusted top, or serve as is.

  • Optionally, add small diced chicken before adding the broth, cook, then add the broth and mix for a complete meal.

  • Pairs well with gravy and holiday main dishes.
